The North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center has taken a pretty major hit in the pocketbook (who says pocketbook anymore…ME!) and we’ve been concocting ways to use our creativity to raise money to continue offering education, counseling and intervention services to North County.

Meanwhile, I’ve decided this is the year in which I’ll finally run the San Diego marathon.

Hopefully by now you can see where this is going.

For the next four months, from now until June 3rd we will attempt to collect $5,000 dollars for the Center.  You can pledge a certain dollar amount per mile.  You can pledge a certain amount per month.  You can give the entire donation all at once.  However you want to donate is great, as long as you donate!

IF you pledge before May 25^th, you will get your name printed on a t-shirt that I will wear while I run.  Friends will take many pictures of me in varying stages of discomfort to prove that I’ve carried your name with me the 26.2 miles to the finish line.

3.  CLICK the DONATE button

4.  Enter your donation information into PayPAL

5.  If you don’t want the name on the credit card to be the same name listed on the t-shirt, be sure to click the link that says “Add special instructions for the recipient” when they ask you to confirm your donation!  That way you can list the name you’d like to be used or any other instructions.  We will see the name on the credit card and the special instructions on our statement.

6.  If you don’t want to donate on the internet, send a check to:

Write “Marathon" or "Race Against Rape" on the check, so we know to put you on the shirt!
